Transforming environmental challenges into viable business solutions

Our Axes of Action

The human footprint is global in scope, universal across ecosystems and often times unsustainable at local scales. The lack of resources is not always the problem; rather, we need to better manage the resources we already have. Sharing and communicating solutions are key to progress. Because solutions that work in one place can often work in another location. Alma will contribute to management frameworks that are far more likely to succeed in the long run embracing and empowering local communities, aiming at leaving no-one behind.

  • Training & Education

Develop knowledge, skills and competencies that are necessary for good environmental practice.

  • Organisation & Management

Strengthen the structures, processes and systems for successful implementation.

  • Network & Linkages

Building the foundations for a community of practice for knowledge transfer & exchange.

Project In Focus

The first community-led seagrass conservation and restoration project in West Africa

Ba Nyamo Tanko aims to restore 7 ha of seagrass meadows in The Gambia. The project focuses on two pillars in order to achieve its key objectives, capacity building and community involvement, to ensure that it achieves its maximum success and impact for both the environment and the people.
